Mashpee Commons Summer Concert Series Begins

Mashpee Commons, Cape Cod’s premier retail, dining and entertainment destination, has announced its free summer concert program for 2024. Concerts will take place on select Wednesday and Friday evenings from June 21 to August 28 at the Mashpee Commons Bandstand.

The Mashpee Commons’ Summer Concert Night at the Bandstand Series will present a series of five concerts on Friday evenings from June 21 to August 23:

• June 21, 5-7pm: The Summer Kick Off Bash at the Bandstand with Grateful Dread. A spin-off band from Entrain drummer Tom Major. Imagine Jerry Garcia in the Caribbean.

• July 5, 6 p.m.: Adam Ezra Group. Violin, drums and bass. Folk intimacy, rock energy.

• July 19, 6pm: Zach Deputy. Funk, groove and hot, passionate low country southern soul.

• August 9, 6 p.m.: Ryan Montbleau. Bill Withers meets James Taylor with soul and appropriate songs.
• August 23, 7pm: Entrain. The legendary band from Cape and Island has been playing for 29 years now.

The WMVY Radio Summer Concert Series will feature a series of eight concerts every Wednesday evening from July 10 through August 28 at the Mashpee Commons Bandstand. All shows begin at 6 p.m. Artists include:

• July 24: John McNamara
• July 31: Melo Green
• 7 August: Monica Rizzio
• 14 August: Aldous Collins
• 21 August: Brian Scully
• 28 August: Natalia Bonfini
