Paolo Nutini roars the fans’ support during Celtic classics as the Scottish singer leaves the Irish bar without a doubt

Paolo Nutini expressed his enthusiasm for Celtic with an X-rated cheer during a visit to an Irish pub.

The Paisley-born singer-songwriter, who is revered by many for his hits such as Candy and Last Request, was enjoying his time out in the pub and as he walked out through a passageway from the bar area, he couldn’t resist cheering on Brendan Rodgers’ men. The Hoops are currently preparing to fly to the USA for three glamorous friendlies against DC United, Manchester City and Chelsea before beginning their Scottish Premiership title defence with a home game against Kilmarnock on Flag Day in early August.

The champions have already played each other twice in pre-season, with a draw at Scott Brown’s Ayr Untied and a thrilling 6-4 win over Scottish Championship side Queen’s Park in midweek at the City Ground – better known as Lesser Hampden. Nutini was bid farewell at the bar in a video shared on TikTok, with patrons shouting “Bye Paolo” as he walked through a small archway with his drinks. A true showman, Nutini stuck his head back through the passageway and shouted “Mon the f***ing hoops”.

It will be another big season for the Parkhead side, who will be looking to compete with Europe’s elite in the new-look Champions League. They also won the league and cup double last season, and fans and players will be hoping for another clean sweep. From a fans’ perspective, they will be keen to see transfer activity, with Adam Idah and Paulo Bernardo both keen to return permanently after successful loan spells. The Hoops are also closing in on a replacement for Joe Hart, while Kasper Schmeichel is in “negotiations”.
