Adventure effects of Sunsteel Strike and Moon Spirit Beam in Pokémon Go

Adventure effects of Sunsteel Strike and Moon Spirit Beam in Pokémon Go

Sunsteel Strike And Moon Spirit Beam are the Adventure effects for Dusk Mane Necrozma And Morningwing Necrozma retroactively in Pokemon Go.

Adventure effects offer additional useful bonuses to your time in Pokémon Go and were first introduced during the Go Tour: Sinnoh in February 2024 with Roar of Time and Spacial Rend. While these adventure effects focused on bending time and space, Sunsteel Strike and Moongeist give you powers day and night. (So we are actually bending time again …)

Like the previous Adventure Effects, each one is tied to a specific Pokémon—Sunsteel Strike for Dusk Mane Necrozma and Moongeist Beam for Dawn Wings Necrozma. Because of this, you’ll need to use Fusion to create one of these Pokémon.

Below we take a look at the Bonuses and costs for Sunsteel Strike and Moongeist Beam in Pokémon Gonext to How Adventure Effects Work.

Sunsteel Strike Adventure Effect Bonuses and Costs in Pokémon Go

The Adventure Effect Sunsteel Strike can only be used by Dusk Mane Necrozma in Pokémon Go. For this reason, the first step to using this Adventure Effect is to fuse Necrozma and Solgaleo together.

It allows you to evolve Pokémon whose evolution is tied to daylight hours whenever you want, and Pokémon that normally only appear during the day can appear in your location. Thanks to these abilities, this is a good adventure effect if you usually play Pokémon Go in the late hours.

The Pokémon that appear through Sunsteel Strike are:

Level one

Helioptile.

Level Two

  • Helioptile
  • Tyrunt
  • Fomantis
  • Sun skirt

Level Three

Level four

Level five

  • Rockruff with the ability to evolve into the twilight form of Lycanroc

Using Sunsteel Strike costs 3,000 stardust and 3 Necrozma candies for 10 minutesYou can increase this duration in 10-minute increments up to a maximum of two hours, which will cost you 36,000 Stardust and 36 Necrozma Candies.

The duration of Sunsteel Strike can be increased to a maximum of 24 hours. Of course, only if you are willing to spend 432,000 Stardust and 432 Necrozma Candies…

At the time of writing, Dusk Mane Necrozma also cannot learn Sunsteel Strike from a Charged TM or Elite Charged TM. Instead, the Pokémon learns this attack automatically when it is fused.

It is also important to note that Sunsteel Strike cannot be used with any other adventure effect, incense, daily adventure incense, the Mystery Box, or the Coin Pouch.

Finally, Sunsteel Strike can be used in battle and has the following power:

  • Trainer battles 135 Performance
  • Gyms and Raids 230 Power

Moon Spirit Beam Adventure Effect Bonuses and Costs in Pokémon Go

The Moongeist Beam adventure effect can only be used by Dawn Wings Necrozma in Pokémon Go. Thanks to this, you must first use Fusion on a Necrozma and Lunala to get this Pokémon and move.

Moongeist Beam allows you to evolve Pokémon whose evolution is tied to the nighttime hours whenever you want. Additionally, Pokémon that normally appear at night will appear in your location regardless of the time of day. These abilities make Moongeist Beam a great adventure effect if you prefer to play Pokémon Go during the day.

Here are the Pokémon that appear through Moon Spirit Beam:

Level one

Alolan-Knokko.

Level Two

  • Munna
  • Amaura
  • Galarian Zigzagoon
  • Lunatone

Level Three

Level four

How to use an adventure effect in Pokémon Go

To use an Adventure Effect in Pokémon Go, you must first make sure that you have a Pokémon that knows the move associated with that effect. In this case, those Pokémon are Dusk Mane Necrozma for Sunsteel Strike And Dawn Wings Necrozma for Moongeist BeamHowever, if you want to use the other adventure effects, you will need Origin Forme Dialga for Roar of Time and Origin Forme Palkia for Spacial Rend.

Before we really get started, it’s important to note that neither Sunsteel Strike nor Moongeist Beam can be learned via a Charged TM or an Elite Charged TM. Instead, Dusk Mane Necrozma and Dawn Wings Necrozma learn their Adventure Effects moves automatically after being created via Fusion. This means you don’t have to hunt down a specific Pokémon that knows this move.

You also need to remember that you can only use one Adventure Effect at a time, so if you’ve activated Sunsteel Strike to evolve a daytime Pokémon at night, you won’t be able to use Moongeist Beam to increase the number of night spawns that appear. Instead, you’ll either have to wait for the Adventure Effect to finish or finish it yourself to use another one. Thankfully, Pokémon Go will notify you when you try to use a second Adventure Effect, but it’s worth keeping this rule in mind if you plan on using the effects frequently.

Duskmane and Morningwing Necrozma.

With those rules established, let’s look at how to use an Adventure Effect in Pokémon Go.

Step one is to find the Pokémon whose Adventure Effect you want to use in your Pokémon Storage. (In the case of Dusk Mane and Dawn Wings Necrozma, though, the first step is technically to create them through Fusion.) After you find the Pokémon, open their special overview page and scroll down until you find the Adventure Effect section under their moveset.

Pressing “Use” opens the window where you decide how much Stardust and Necrozma Candy you want to spend on the Adventure Effect.

The more Stardust and Necrozma Candy you give, the more time you have with this Adventure effect. The timers for Sunsteel Strike and Lunar Spirit Beam increase in 10-minute increments up to a maximum of two hours. This time can be further increased to a total of 24 hours. However, extending the time to the limit will cost you a large amount of Stardust and Necrozma Candy, so if you plan to do this, we strongly recommend that you make sure you can make the most of the Adventure effect to ensure you don’t waste resources.

After you’ve set the duration of the Adventure Effect, simply press Use again and watch a short cutscene of your Pokémon using the move. Congratulations – the Adventure Effect is now active and you can use its bonuses without restrictions! At least for the moment, as the timer on the screen counts down to indicate the end of the effect duration.
