Israeli attack on Mohammed Deif in Khan Yunis, several casualties reported

i24 News – Israeli forces carried out an attack on the Al-Mawasi refugee camp near Khan Yunis on Saturday, targeting senior Hamas leader Mohammed Deif and Khan Younis Brigade commander Rafaa Salama.

An Israeli airstrike in the al-Mawasi region of the southern Gaza Strip’s Khan Younis targeted Hamas military leader Mohammed Deif, the Israeli military said.

The Hamas-controlled Health Ministry confirmed that at least 71 people were killed and 289 others injured.

The Hamas-controlled Health Ministry in the Gaza Strip reported that dozens were killed and more than 100 injured in the attack.

Deif is an arch-terrorist and the architect of numerous deadly attacks on Israeli civilians and soldiers, including the October 7 massacre. He survived several assassination attempts by Israeli security forces, including one in which he is believed to have lost an eye and a limb.
