Famous actors who are also country singers

Kevin Costner, Billy Bob Thornton and other well-known actors are known for their leading roles in television and films, but did you know that some of your favorite actors are also country music singers?

In fact, Costner was a musician before he became a famous actor. Today, he leads a country-rock band called Kevin Costner & Modern West, which has released several albums and performed all over the world.

Thornton is also a longtime musician, and while much of his music is based on soulful rock, some of it is definitely down-to-earth enough to be classified as country or Americana.

Actors like Gwyneth Paltrow, Reese Witherspoon and Dennis Quaid have showcased their musical prowess in some of their biggest film projects, while others, including Kiefer Sutherland and Luke Grimes, have released surprisingly strong, faithful music outside of their film and television projects.
