Tommy Fury flew in Molly-Mae’s favorite singer for a marriage proposal

Love Island’s Tommy Fury had planned everything for his big marriage proposal to Molly-Mae Hague – including traveling with her favorite singer RuthAnne.

The Irish artist was sworn to secrecy before the big moment. Tommy knelt down and asked Molly-Mae to be his wife while holding their little daughter Bambi in her arms. The venue for the occasion was a cliff overlooking the sea, the wall of which was decorated with white and pink roses.

After the proposal was made public with a joint Instagram announcement from the couple on July 23, RuthAnne shared some behind-the-scenes details on her own page.

“A pinch me moment! Congratulations @tommyfury @mollymae on your engagement and I can’t believe I got to be there to sing your song #thevow live for this incredible proposal (good planning Tommy),” she wrote.

“Molly had no idea and I know how much this song means to them,” she continued, calling the venue the “most breathtaking” she has ever performed at.

“And for the most beautiful couple. I sang with all my heart just for you today. It’s so wonderful to finally meet you in person and sing this song for you,” she added.

“This is why I write music, and, wow, what a moment.”

The couple met on the fifth season of Love Island in 2019 and continued their romance even after leaving the villa. They moved in together after the show and welcomed their first child, daughter Bambi Fury, in January this year.

The happy couple confirmed their engagement over the weekend, with Molly-Mae sharing a short video on Instagram of herself walking down some steps to her future husband and daughter.

“Forever. 7/23/23,” she captioned the clip, adding a ring and a crying face emoji.

Love Island airs on ITV2 and streams on ITVX.
