Michigan State is on the list of top 6 schools for 2026 WR Larry Miles

Michigan State and coach Jonathan Smith have had an eventful and unique first half of the year. Coach Smith and his coaching staff have made the best of a difficult situation in East Lansing. After losing numerous players to the transfer portal, the Spartans finished the upcoming season with a respectable transfer portal class and have begun to make progress on future recruiting classes.

Smith and his coaching staff were faced with a dire need to add to their 2025 recruiting class in June, but Michigan State’s 2026 recruiting class also needed to be revamped. With Smith leading the charge to restructure Michigan State’s football program, it makes sense for him and his coaching staff to prepare for more recruiting classes than just the 2025 class. This will allow Smith and the Spartans to lay the foundation for what they hope the Michigan State football program will accomplish.

Smith and his coaching staff have nearly filled their 2025 recruiting class with only a few spots left. As Smith begins to rebuild Michigan State’s football program, his first recruiting classes will be critical to the long-term results of his tenure. Smith knows this and has prioritized Midwestern recruits and recruits in future recruiting classes.

However, the Spartans recently offered a scholarship to a player from Florida who they hope will have a positive impact on Michigan State’s 2026 recruiting class: wide receiver Larry Miles.

The Winter Garden, Florida native is unranked on 247Sports, but has two years of high school left, meaning he could be a listed prospect if he heads to college. Additionally, Smith and his coaching staff have shown that rankings don’t matter because they’re confident in their abilities as coaches.

Miles recently Approved the top six schools he will choose from to play college football, and Michigan State made the list. Miami, Purdue, Syracuse, UCF, and USF also made the list.
