Preserving West Virginia’s history, joining a silent book club and celebrating tourism this West Virginia Week

This West Virginia Week, we’ll spend some time in the Eastern Panhandle learning about a new Battlefield Park, hearing from a Harpers Ferry author, and exploring the unknown future of the John Brown Wax Museum. We’ll also travel to Morgantown to visit a Silent Book Club, and then head south to Logan County to explore the hopes surrounding the opening of the Governor’s School for Tourism.

On this West Virginia Weekwe spend some time in the Eastern Panhandle and learn about a new Battlefield Park, hear from an author from Harpers Ferry, and explore the unknown future of the John Brown Wax Museum.

We’ll also travel to Morgantown to attend a Silent Book Club and then head south to Logan County to see the hopes of the opening of the Governor’s School for Tourism.

In other news this week, we get the latest on the state of the coal industry in West Virginia, look at a campaign to improve foster care, hear from the state Board of Education meeting and visit an archaeological site in Malden.
