Chris Pratt was not wrong about the “shitty” backlash to his post about his wife Katherine Schwarzenegger

Chris Pratt was not wrong about the “shitty” backlash to his post about his wife Katherine Schwarzenegger

Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger have been married since 2019 and are building a life together. They have children and have laid the foundation for a future together. However, when someone is a public figure, it is difficult for them to move forward in their life when the world brings their past to light. When the couple announced the birth of their first daughter, Lyla Maria Schwarzenegger Pratt, they caused some controversy.

The world began to accuse the actor of terrible things. So much so that he felt the need to point it out and talk about it in an interview.

Chris Pratt was accused of cheating on his ex-wife in the worst possible way

While a fan base is all but guaranteed when they enter the golden gates of Hollywood, things can often go wrong when they become toxic. Every celebrity has had an unfortunate encounter with a fan at some point. Tom Holland once had to watch a “protective” fan insult Anthony Mackie in front of a room full of people at a convention.

Selena Gomez had to ask her fans to stop bullying Hailey Bieber online when they went too far in an attempt to “defend her honor.” Unfortunately, Chris Pratt has had his share of such fans. After the birth of his first daughter with Katherine Schwarzenegger, Pratt published a post online thanking his wife for giving him a healthy daughter.

Although the post was harmless in every way, many thought the actor was trying to throw shade at his ex-wife Anna Faris. She and Pratt were married for nine years before splitting in 2018. They shared joint custody of their son Jack. Since their son suffered a brain hemorrhage after being born prematurely, many thought the “wholesome” comment was a way to throw shade at his ex-wife.

This accusation is cruel in every way, but also really strange considering that the two actors had a good relationship after their separation.

Chris Pratt couldn’t believe what was being said about him

One can only imagine what it would have been like for Chris Pratt to be accused of such heinous things by the masses. In an interview with Men’s health magazineThe actor addressed the entire situation and talked about how deeply it had affected him and his family.

I said something like, “Find someone who looks at you the way my wife looks at me.” And then I made some jokes to her and said, “But I love you. I’m so grateful to my wife – she gave me a beautiful, healthy daughter.”

And then a lot of articles came out saying, “This is so embarrassing. I can’t believe Chris Pratt would thank her for a healthy daughter when his first child was born prematurely. This is such a dig at his ex-wife.”

Pratt didn’t see the backlash coming at all. He didn’t expect anyone to say something like that, and he was genuinely surprised when people started accusing him of shaming his ex-wife for his son. The actor was furious when he thought about how such conversations would affect his son.

My son is going to read this one day. He’s nine. And it’s set in stone. It pissed me off, dude. I cried about it. I thought, I hate that these blessings in my life — to the people closest to me — are a real burden.

He mentioned that one day his son would read these conversations and feel terrible about so many things he had no control over. Of course, these realizations touched him deeply and he revealed that he even cried quite a bit because of it. The whole situation also made him learn that any good news in his life will be tied to the brutal perceptions of the media.
