The NASCAR Cup Series makes its only trip this season to the Tricky Triangle on Sunday for the Great American Getaway 400 at Pocono Raceway.
Denny Hamlin took his seventh win at this track last season after colliding with Kyle Larson late in the race.
Last week, Alex Bowman secured his spot in the playoffs by outlasting the field in the darkness of the Chicago street circuit to win in the No. 48 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet. HMS now has all four drivers in the playoffs with wins, two months before the postseason begins in September.
Here are The Tennessean’s expert picks for Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series race at Pocono:

LAST WEEK: Winners and losers of the NASCAR street race in Chicago: Alex Bowman ends winning streak on another rainy day
NASCAR Cup Series Pocono Race Predictions: Here’s Who Will Win the Great American Getaway 400
Mike Organ’s Pick: Denny Hamlin, No. 11 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota
I have some catching up to do in our points standings, so I’m predicting Denny Hamlin’s eighth win at Pocono Raceway. Last summer he passed Jeff Gordon with seven wins at the Tricky Triangle, and I think he’ll keep top challengers like Kyle Larson, Martin Truex Jr., Christopher Bell and Chase Elliott at bay this year.
Tom Kreager’s pick: Tyler Reddick, No. 45 23XI Racing Toyota
Reddick has been close to winning the last two weeks — in Nashville and in Chicago. This is finally his chance for win No. 2 of the season. Reddick has two top-five finishes at Pocono. It makes sense that he would get his first win there this week, beating team owner Denny Hamlin in the process.
Nick Gray’s pick: Bubba Wallace, No. 23 23XI Racing Toyota
For the first time this season, I’m predicting a motivated Bubba Wallace to win this weekend. Wallace was solid at Pocono with 23XI Racing (by average results, this is his best track with 23XI). Given the points situation, he should have every motivation to put in a strong performance. He needs to win. It’s time to do it.
