Taylor Swift reacts to Travis Kelce being named best NFL tight end

Taylor Swift celebrates her husband!

The 34-year-old singer showed her affection for boyfriend Travis Kelce on Friday, July 12, by liking posts declaring him the best tight end in the NFL.

Swift first liked a post shared by ESPN NFL, who wrote on Instagram: “Who is the best tight end in the game? 🏈”

Alongside the message, a photo of 34-year-old Kelce in his Kansas City Chiefs jersey pointing to the sky was shared, with the words “1. Travis Kelce” written beneath the image.

The caption then explained that NFL reporter Jeremy Fowler spoke with executives, coaches and scouts to compile the top 10, while also sharing a carousel of photos of the remaining top 10 tight ends.

ESPN is conducting these polls for the fifth year to rank the top 10 players at 11 different NFL positions. This year’s results also included Christian McCafferty of the San Francisco 49ers as the best running back.

Swift also liked a second post from the Chiefs celebrating Kelce’s recent performance.

“ESPN knows what’s going on. Congratulations @killatrav 🏹,” the caption read, alongside a close-up of Kelce smiling in his Chiefs jersey and another photo of him in the jersey, holding a football and pointing to the sky.

“Best Tight End,” read a message above the picture. “Travis Kelce, the Big Yeti himself, has been rated by executives, coaches, scouts and players as the best tight end in the NFL. You could even say he knows how to play.”

Swift’s support for Kelce comes after the NFL star was recently spotted traveling with the singer across Europe, supporting her on the recent European legs of her Eras tour in Amsterdam, Ireland and London – in the latter city he even shared the stage with Swift for the first time.

In September 2023, rumors first surfaced that Swift and Kelce were dating. In October 2023, the two made their romance public and have been spending a lot of time together ever since, jetting around the world and supporting each other in their careers.

Kelce’s latest honor comes after he won another award on Thursday, July 11 — this time for karaoke instead of sports — and dedicated his win to Swift.

The Chiefs player sang karaoke on stage on July 11 while attending the American Century Championship charity golf tournament in Lake Tahoe, Nevada, and took part in a karaoke contest.

After singing Whitesnake’s 1982 hit “Here I Go Again,” Kelce was named the karaoke winner and paid tribute to Swift in his speech.

“Taylor, this is for you,” he said onstage in a video shared on X (formerly known as Twitter). Travis then held his award in the air and told the audience, “I love you guys!”
