Fantasy Baseball Value Picks Today: Top DraftKings MLB DFS Bargains for June 21

Fantasy Baseball Value Picks Today: Top DraftKings MLB DFS Bargains for June 21

This Friday, MLB presents us with a solid 10-game fantasy baseball schedule that includes plenty of exciting matchups to start the weekend off right. Games will tip off at 7:05 p.m. ET and include the 10 games under the lights. Of those matchups, four are interleague games, including two marquee series that begin in Atlanta and Los Angeles. There’s also a game at Coors Field, so the Nationals and Rockies’ options get an offensive boost by playing their game at high altitude.

With so many good options, there are several winning strategies that make sense on Thursday. If you find you don’t have enough salary cap space, there are also plenty of good plays available at a lower cost. In this post, I’ve highlighted my three favorite bargains that offer high potential but come with affordable salaries, allowing you to pay more for the stars you want elsewhere.

Despite the many injuries in the Milwaukee rotation, Rea’s emergence has been crucial to the team’s success. The 33-year-old right-hander has a 6-2 record with a 3.29 ERA and a 4.45 FIP in his 14 games this season, recording 54 strikeouts in 76 23 innings. Although his strikeout numbers were not exceptional, they tended to be low, with 17 punchouts in 22 13 innings in his last four games. Rea has allowed two runs or less in five consecutive starts and has wins over the Blue Jays and Reds in his last two games. He posted over 22 DKFP in each of those wins. Rea has a tough road game against his former team, the Padres, on Friday night, but it helps that he will face them at pitcher-friendly Petco Park. He will face Dylan Cease ($10,000)who has struggled recently, allowing at least three runs in six of his last seven starts. With a good lineup behind him and his recent success, Rea is a strong value option this Friday.

Wong has been outstanding for the Red Sox this season and should be able to pitch this weekend in Cincinnati. He had a few days off in Toronto to recover but is expected to be back in the lineup against the left-hander. Andrew Abbott ($8,000) on Friday night. After three days off, he should be rested and ready to go. Of all the catchers in MLB this season, Wong has the highest batting average and fifth-highest wOBA (.375). He’s hitting .332 with five home runs and a 140 wRC+. Wong has been even better against lefties, hitting .355 with a .404 wOBA. The 28-year-old backstop has done most of his damage on the road as well, so all the splits and signs point to him being ready to provide excellent value against Abbott.

Barger has still barely hit above the minimum despite his potential and the Blue Jays prospect seemed ready to stick around in the major leagues after being called back up to the team last week. Barger has hit a sure-fire hit in each of the four games since being called back up, batting 6-for-14 (.429) with a double, a stolen base and three runs scored. He hasn’t exactly been at his best in Triple-A but has a solid .360 wOBA and continues to show promising power and speed. The 24-year-old was 1-for-18 on a previous major league occasion, but this time around he seems ready to hang in there and add some momentum to the Jays’ offense. Barger also brings nice positional flexibility, as he can fit on your roster either as a 3B or in an OF slot.
