Love Island’s Anton reveals reason for split from Georgia Harrison

Anton Danyluk from “Love Island: All Stars” has revealed the real reason for his split from co-star Georgia Harrison.

Speaking to his mother Sherie Danyluk on her podcast “What’s the Crack?” (via Heat), Anton explained that the problem wasn’t the distance, but the lack of a “romantic spark.”

“A source in the press said distance was the problem. Well, we were in London every other week, so I don’t think distance was the problem. That obviously wasn’t the case,” he began.

“I just don’t think there was really that romantic spark. We both tried. Sometimes it was there, but just not enough to build a relationship.”

Sherie agreed with his comments, adding, “You guys actually saw each other quite a bit. But being your mom, I knew deep down that it was actually just a really, really good friendship. I think you two have grown even stronger in that friendship.”

Anton and Georgia got together during the dating show on ITV2 and eventually finished in fifth place behind series winners Molly Smith and Tom Clare.

The two are not the only “All Stars” finalists to go their separate ways since the show ended; Toby Aromolaran and Georgia Steel confirmed their split in March.

Rumours also circulated that runners-up Jess Gale and Callum Jones had split up, but Jess has since denied these reports in an interview with Digital Spy, and confirmed that they are still together.

“Shock. Callum and I are still together, despite what everyone is saying at the moment,” she said.

Winners Molly and Tom are also still close and confirmed in March that they are now boyfriend and girlfriend and plan to move in together at some point in the future.

Meanwhile, third-placed couple Sophie Piper and Josh Ritchie are still on good terms and revealed to OK! Magazine that they are “taking it slow” in their relationship.

Love Island airs on ITV2 and streams on ITVX.
