“I checked Instagram and got a direct message from Kat (Katerina Siniakova),” She said. “I was like, I don’t know if you saw what happened, but you want to play, and I was like, yeah, and I felt so terrible because I had never done that before.” This Instagram message led to a successful connection for Taylor, who usually shared the court with WTA stars such as Caroline Dolehide or Sofia Kenin.

Additionally, Instagram has helped Townsend connect with a really strong management team. “So he (Kenny Hamilton) is actually my manager,” she revealed. “I started working with him and his team and everyone else. I have a really great management team at Stones Way, so they’re amazing. And yes, he’s been sneaking into my DMs too. I’m two for two. All the best in your life.”

Kenny Hamilton, on the other hand, reciprocated the enthusiasm for Taylor Townsend’s campaign. He posted pictures of her training sessions at Wimbledon along with a caption that read: “The grind continues. Today I’m training for a big quarter-final match.” His support and management appear to be paying off, with Townsend just one step away from Wimbledon glory.
