Saltburn director announces famous adaptation as next project and fans “go crazy”

Saltburn director Emerald Fennell has delighted fans with the announcement that her next project will be an adaptation of Wuthering Heights by Emily Brontë.

Emerald Fennell thrilled her fans with her films “Saltburn” and “Promising Young Woman,” two excellent and terrifying films that combined upbeat pop hits and murder.

“Saltburn” made waves and fans were left speechless by the many twists in the plot and the extreme scenes with Barry Keoghan and Jacob Elordi.

The star has now announced that she will adapt a cult horror film and promises to go one step further – and fans can’t believe their excitement.

The star posted artwork on social media featuring a skeleton crest with the title “Wuthering Heights” right in the middle.

The photo was captioned: “Be with me always, take any shape, drive me crazy… A film by Emerald Fennell.”

On X, fans expressed their great joy at the director’s reinterpretation of this cult book.

“I’m losing my mind! My favorite story is being adapted by one of my favorite directors!?” said Maggieofthetown.

EL James, author of the 50 Shades of Grey series, commented: “I can’t wait!”

“YEEESSSSSSS!!!!!!!! This is going to be spectacular,” said Kellykeegs.

“They will shine forever with this adaptation,” added Mothm0on.

Hoping to recreate the renewed popularity of “Murder on the Dancefloor,” fans also quickly began thinking about how the director could incorporate the Kate Bush song “Wuthering Heights” into his soundtrack.

“This is so great. One of my favorite directors with such amazing source material. They better have Kate Bush on the soundtrack. That’s my only request. Other than that, I can’t wait to see you cook,” commented Justannaagain.

“If it includes THAT SONG, I’m in,” added MarkBowsherFilm.

Fans are already suggesting that the cast should include the likes of Paul Mescal, Daisy Edgar-Jones and other current Hollywood heartthrobs.

Some have even suggested that she recast her Saltburn cast and include the likes of Ewan Mitchell and Jacob Elordi in the shortlist for the role of possible Heathcliff.
