Family of man beaten to death outside Nashville Topgolf leans on faith after tragedy

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Umesh Dahal’s family is still mourning his tragic loss. On June 29, the 41-year-old was beaten outside Topgolf in East Nashville while trying to break up a fight. He succumbed to his injuries a few days later.

The city police have arrested Roshan Subba-Lawti, Kishor Tamang-Bhaii and Bishal Rai and charged them with manslaughter. According to police, Rai has been identified as the man who kicked Dahal on the head.


During the attack, he was beaten and his head fell onto the concrete. He was then kicked in the head.

His family is Hindu and is currently in mourning. His funeral took place on July 6.

“I believe my faith will help us,” said Umesh’s brother Naresh Dahal. “It is a great loss, my brother is gone.”

Naresh spoke about his brother’s devotion to his family. He leaves behind his beloved wife and two daughters.
