Enjoy a classic experience at Alice’s Supper Club in Iron River

IRON RIVER, Michigan (WJMN) – Alice’s Supper Club has been a fixture in the Iron River community for half a century, but for its new owner, the story is just beginning.

Terri Bechtel-Storti has been the owner since January 2024. “I was a regular at Alice’s for over 20 years,” says Bechtel-Storti, “and when it became known that it was for sale, we jumped at the opportunity because it was really important to us to keep the same food, the same menu, the same prices and the same staff.”

She says reservations are recommended as tables still fill up quickly.

“So far, everyone has been very satisfied and happy,” Terri said. “I know I was a little skeptical that things would really stay the same. And they have. Other than a few improvements, a few different pictures on the wall, a new, extensive wine list and some new appetizers, everything really stays the same here at Alice’s.”

A big part of the charm of Alice that they wanted to maintain was the real supper club experience. Terri told us what that means: “Come in, sit down, have a drink, you get a good meal, great service and a relaxed atmosphere. We have Frank Sinatra on the radio. Just a really enjoyable dinner. And when you’re finished, maybe come back to the bar and maybe have a digestif or an ice cream and round out the whole experience.”

Our tip: definitely try the homemade pasta.

“Our lasagna is to die for, our meat sauce is to die for,” Terri said. “We also have different options if pasta isn’t your thing. You can get amazing chicken, we have pork chops, we have steaks that are truly the best.”

You can expect Alice’s Supper Club Open every evening except Mondays from 4:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
