KRATEs and more on ABC Action News’ “Good Morning, Wesley Chapel!” – Neighborhood News

Great job, Deiah & Co.! On June 14, WFTS-TV’s ABC Action News anchor Deiah Riley brought her traveling show “Good Morning” back to Wesley Chapel, where she performed on the main stage at KRATE in Grove Container Park from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m.

There were the usual great pre-recorded segments featuring interviews from people like Hope Kennedy, President and CEO of the North Tampa Bay Chamber, and members of the Boyette family (one of the original citrus farming families to settle in the Wesley Chapel area). There was also a discussion about whether “Downtown Wesley Chapel” will actually be located in Avalon Park or the Wiregrass Ranch community, and a segment on the expanded amenities at Wesley Chapel District Park.

But what caught our attention most, of course, were the live dining segments, in which Riley interviewed the owners of several KRATEs and roving reporter Sean Daly (right) visited some of the more well-known and lesser-known restaurants in Wesley Chapel, including (photo above) the new Retro Dogs, Garden of Eden Olive Oil Co., Bakery X (Middle right), Sorbo Wesley Chapel Café (bottom left), Moschella’s Italian Eatery & Market, Florida Ave. Brewing Co., Pasta di Guy (photo above left) and some more.

While there are of course many other places in Wesley Chapel, I really enjoyed that this entire morning was filled with TV showcases of local businesses. Again, great job! — GN
