Orlando Magic’s Jonathan Isaac: “Christ’s love” is the answer

By Movieguide® Contributor

Orlando Magic power forward Jonathan Isaac continues to swim against the tide of this world by always putting his faith first.

Movieguide® recently reported on Isaac’s faith:

In his book “Why I Stand,” Isaac explains what he thinks people can learn from his story.

“But what gives me hope is not only because we know that Jesus has overcome the world and all of these things, but we know that we’re going to go home and it’s all great,” he said on the Sports Spectrum podcast. “But as the world gets darker and darker, the light gets brighter and brighter.”

“And so I hope that in these times and also with the book, more people will embrace the message, more people will stand up for what they believe in, but in love,” Isaac added.

“And I know that we’re going to win people over. I don’t know if we can win them all, but we can start with one and keep growing,” he continued. “And you know, the harvest is big, but there are few workers and so on.”

In a new video shared by Christhlete on Instagram, Isaac shares why he believes the love of Christ is the answer for the world.

“The love of Christ is not like the love of others. It is not like the love of the world. The world loves you when you do things right or when you do things with them. But as soon as you make a mistake, they take that love away from you,” Isaac explained.

“But what I’ve experienced with the love of Christ is that it loves first,” he continued. “It loves despite wrongdoing. It loves when you shouldn’t be loved anymore. It’s unconditional. And that’s the love that I believe will change the world and that has changed me.”

Isaac often shares his faith through his social media platforms.

On Instagram, Isaac shared a series of photos of himself and captioned the post “Conquest – Romans 8:37 👊🏾🙏🏽”

Romans 8:37 says:

No, in all these things we more than all conquerors through him who loved us.

For those who, like Isaac, have put their trust in Jesus are victors because Christ died for us on the cross.
