Eminem criticizes Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs and Alec Baldwin in his new song “Fuel”

Eminem has released his 12th album The Death of Slim Shady (Coup De Grâce) on Friday, and as usual made a point of challenging personalities of the time such as Sean “Diddy” Combs and Alec Baldwin.

On the LP’s ninth track, “Fuel,” Grammy-winning rapper JID addresses some of the biggest cultural issues of the moment: the numerous allegations of sexual assault against Combs and the tragic death of Halyna Hutchins on rust when a revolver held by star Alec Baldwin went off.

In the second verse of the song, Eminem raps: “I’m like a RAPER (Yeah) / Got so many S-As (S-As), S-As (Huh) / Wait, he didn’t just spell the word, ‘Rapper’ and leave a P, did he? (Yep).” In rap, the lyric “P, did he?” definitely sounds like “P. “Diddy.”

As the verse continues, the artist wishes Notorious BIG and Tupac Shakur rest in peace before linking Tupac’s death to Combs. The lyrics read: “RIP, rest in peace, Biggie / And Pac, you two should be alive (yeah) / But I don’t want a fight with him (no) / ‘Cause maybe he’ll try to murder me like Keefe D did.”

This part of the verse refers to the claim that Combs offered Tupac’s alleged killer, Duane Keith “Keffe D” Davis, a million dollars to kill the famous rapper and his manager Suge Knight.

Towards the end of the same verse, Eminem speaks the rust Tragedy, Rap: “Fuck around and get beat up like Halyna Hutchins / Like I’m Alec Baldwin. I mean, I wanna take you down and then give you the coup de grace.”

In another song on The death of Slim ShadyIn “Antichrist,” the artist also references the horrific video released earlier this year in which Combs attacked his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura in a Los Angeles hotel in 2016, specifically mentioning the part of the video in which the music mogul kicked her several times.

The lyrics go: “The next idiot that asks me out is gonna get his ass kicked even harder than Diddy / But seriously / She probably ran out the room with his damn dildo / He tried to beat her with a field goal but she told her to relax / Now stick it back up my ass and get the steel toe cap.”

Eminem’s new album will be released on the same day Mood Editor-in-chief Danyel Smith published a commentary in The New York Times Magazine Combs threatened that she would “lie dead in the trunk of her car” because she did not want to show him the cover of his magazine before it was published. On Friday, a judge also dismissed Baldwin’s manslaughter trial in connection with the shooting of Hutchins in New Mexico.
