Investigators are “confident” they can catch suspects in connection with Matthew Perry’s death

Authorities are investigating the death of Matthew Perry are reportedly “confident” that they will find all suspects involved and bring them to justice.

According to a report by TMZ On Friday (July 12), agents of the US Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) believe they have what it takes to charge anyone suspected of Friends The actor is suspected of obtaining the ketamine that contributed to his tragic death last year. The suspects are facing charges including drug trafficking resulting in death or serious bodily harm, which carries a minimum sentence of 20 years behind bars.

Sources told the outlet that the DEA is not only investigating suspected drug dealers, but also doctors who may have written prescriptions that were “not medically necessary” and other “key people in Hollywood.” Last month, it was reported that several people could face charges in connection with Perry’s death.

Perry was only 54 years old when he died on October 28, 2023, after being found unconscious in a hot tub at his home. His death was initially ruled an “accident” and the case was dismissed, but it was reopened earlier this year after the Los Angeles County Coroner determined he died from “the acute effects of ketamine.”

Friends of the late actor have since reflected on their relationship with Perry, including his Friends co-stars. Lisa Kudrow recently shared how she is helping to keep her friend’s memory alive while Courtney Cox said he “visits her often.”
