Love Island star Samantha Kenny breaks her silence about her split

Love Island Star Samantha Kenny has broken her silence after being kicked out of the villa.

The star left the show earlier this week following the reunion ceremony, which saw Joey Essex reunite with bombshell Grace while Samantha was left single and thus kicked out.

In a new post on Instagram, Samantha spoke for the first time about her departure and thanked her fans for their support as well as the support of the girls in the villa.

“I thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the support I have received,” she wrote. “I am so happy to be back home with the people who love me the most.”

“I don’t know what I would have done without the girls in the villa over the past week. Each and every one of them is very special and I will support them every step of the way and am so excited for the next chapter in my life.”

In a follow-up video to her Stories, Samantha revealed that she has been watching repeat episodes since returning to the UK and that she has been “overwhelmed” by the support of her fans.

“I literally sat on the couch all day and watched a few episodes,” she told her followers. “But I’m honestly overwhelmed by the support I’ve gotten. It’s been so emotional just reading everyone’s comments… and the support I’ve gotten. I’m here for it.”

“I’m really, really, really happy,” she added, admitting that she was herself in the villa and “there was nothing else (she) could have done.”

“But, you know, that’s the main thing. But yes, I hope you enjoyed seeing me on your screen for two weeks. I hope I made the Liverpool girls proud! And Liverpool proud too.

“But yeah, I thought I’d just send you a quick message to let you know I’ve seen all the messages. I’m not ignoring anyone and I’ll get back to them.”

Following her exit, Samantha received praise from her fans for her response to the rejection, as the star had rejected Joey, who tried to console her.

After her elimination, Samantha admitted: “As far as Joey is concerned, I think if I had known what I know now, I might have done things differently.”

Love Island will be broadcast on ITV2 and streamed on ITVX.
