Bookshelves in the library.

SHERRILL, NY – The Sherrill-Kenwood Free Library, 543 Sherrill Road, Sherrill, offers a collection for local food pantries and also free books for young readers.

The library serves as a collection point for the Verona and Vernon food distribution centers. The library accepts nonperishable food items during its opening hours. Please do not leave donations outside the library.

The library is open Monday to Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. It is closed on Sundays and all national holidays.

Please consider donating to the food banks in Vernon and Verona. Now that school is on summer break, there is a need for donations, especially for canned pastas such as Spaghettios and granola bars. Many will appreciate your donation.

The VVS Imagination Library provides a free book each month to children under five in households in the following zip code areas: 13054, 13461, 13476, 13477, and 13478. Books are shipped directly to households and participation is free.
