When a fan asked in a July 9 TikTok if Carpenter was her niece, Cartwright excitedly replied, “Yes, absolutely.”

“Isn’t that incredible?” she continued. “Maybe you’ve known me for a while, and this little 10-year-old boy has been around for about 35 years – and some of you a lot less – and you find out that I’m related to this superstar.”

“She really is amazing,” Cartwright concluded with a smile.

The caption of the TikTok reads: “The rumors are true! Sabrina Carpenter is my niece!”

Fans of Carpenter and Cartwright commented on the revelation in the comments.

“Sabrina Carpenter is related to Bart Simpson. Ay, Caramba!” wrote one user, referring to one of Bart’s catchphrases in the animated sitcom.

“‘Please, please, please’ sing ‘Espresso’ in Bart Simpson’s voice,” wrote another user, referring to the singles from Carpenter’s upcoming sixth album, “Short n’ Sweet,” which is set to be released on August 23.

Carpenter spoke about her aunt in a 2021 interview with Capital FM, calling the connection “pretty wild.”

“I’m a legend in terms of family ties too,” she joked. “No, absolutely not, not even close. But I will say that this has been the coolest thing in the world for me my entire life.”

“The woman is a woman of many talents, not just beard,” Carpenter said of her aunt. “She never ceases to amaze me.”

In addition to Bart Simpson, Cartwright also voices other popular characters from The Simpsons, including Nelson Muntz, Todd Flanders and Ralph Wiggum. The Emmy Award winner is also the voice of Chuckie Finster in Rugrats and Rufus in Kim Possible.

Carpenter has also tried her hand at voice acting and, according to IMdB, has voiced characters in the Disney Channel series “Phineas and Ferb,” “Sofia the First,” and “Milo Murphy’s Law.”
