Once upon a time, we were so deeply and completely depressed that we embarked on a euphoric journey of discovery”, says Larkin Poe.Bluephoria is a rock ‘n’ roll reflection on the duality of the human experience; deep down in the quietest place where bitterness and sweetness intertwine and sorrow and joy merge into meaning. Pay special attention to the second verse, which was inspired by the words of legendary Memphis blues musician Furry Lewis, who is quoted as saying, “Now I know I’m no star, but I sure could be a moon.’”

The year 2024 began triumphantly for Larkin Poe. It began with their first GRAMMY® Award, winning Best Contemporary Blues Album for their critically acclaimed sixth studio album, Blood Harmony. More accolades followed, including a nomination for the prestigious Americana Music Honors & Awards for Duo/Group of the Year.

Long considered one of the hardest touring acts working today, Larkin Poe will celebrate their milestone year with a truly epic live schedule that includes appearances at high-profile festivals around the world, US tours with Slash’s all-star SERPENT Festival and KALEO’s Payback Tour 2024, and much more. Highlights include unforgettable double bills with Lenny Kravitz in Montreux, the famous Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland (July 16), Rival Sons in Bonn, Kunst!Rasen Bonn in Germany (July 17) and Chris Isaak in Saint-Julien-en-Genevois, Guitare En Scene in France (July 19), as well as highly anticipated appearances at the Maid of Stone Festival in Maidstone (UK) (July 21), Cambridge Folk Festival (July 27) in Cambridge (UK), Park City Song Summit (August 16) in Park City (Utah), Sea.Hear.Now Festival (September 15) in Asbury Park (New Jersey), Bourbon & Beyond (September 22) in Louisville (Kentucky), Oceans Calling (September 27) in Ocean City (Maryland) and Melissa Etheridge’s Moon Crush “The Sea & ME” in Miramar Beach (Florida) (May 7). 2025). Additional dates to be announced. For detailed information, visit www.larkinpoe.com/tour.

In addition, Larkin Poe recently launched his new series, “American Girls with Larkin Poe,” on SiriusXM’s Tom Petty Radio (Channel 31). The weekly show features the best of roots rock ‘n’ roll, R&B, blues and more, plus an exclusive Tom Petty cover in each episode. Hailed by American Songwriter as a “roaring, passionate set that leaves no doubt as to who the queens of contemporary Southern blues rock are and are likely to remain for the foreseeable future,” Blood Harmony confirmed Larkin Poe as a major force in shaping the identity of Southern rock ‘n’ roll, breathing new energy into the genre with both forward-thinking perspective and decidedly female strength. In addition to their second GRAMMY® nomination for Best Contemporary Blues Album and first ever win, the album garnered rapturous applause from media outlets such as Forbes, which called it “11 songs and 42 minutes of pounding, driving guitar and slide guitar virtuosity.” “There’s one problem with listening to a Larkin Poe album – you just want to hear more and more Larkin Poe songs.” “Blood Harmony shows Larkin Poe’s mastery of the blues,” confirmed No Depression, “and her ability to write and perform songs that reveal the shadows and light we walk through in our everyday world. Even in the midst of the blues, there is still hope and joy, and Larkin Poe takes us to the other side.”
