England team reveals their favourite songs: “Pickford’s music is terrible!”

The members of the English national football team have revealed which songs they are currently listening to during training in camp.

During his appearance on the BBC Daily football podcastthe current team revealed which songs they’re currently listening to on repeat. Cole Palmer revealed that he’s listening to “Choppa” by Lil Baby and Byron Messia. Ezri Konsa and Bukayo Saka both revealed that they’re currently rocking out to “Love Me Jeje” by Tems, with the latter saying the track is “such a vibe, man.” When asked if he listens to the track before a game, Saka replied, “I listen to it pretty much every day.”

Phil Foden said: “That new England song that the fans sing about me,” referring to “Phill Foden’s On Fire” – a reference to Bruce Springsteen’s “Dancing In The Dark.” “I think I hear it over and over again, it’s stuck in my head. Every time I come to the stadium and hear it, yeah, it’s a surreal moment.”

Ivan Toney chose “Million Dollar Baby” by Tommy Richman, while Eberechi Eze chose “Last Heartbreak Song” by Ayra Starr and Giveon.

“I’ll tell you the song I heard on the bus,” John Stones said. “It’s called ‘Yamore’ (by Moblack). It’s house too. I love house music, I love the feeling of it.”

“I’m not even responsible for the music, but there’s a song that (Jordan) Pickford plays,” Kieran Tripper began. “He’s into rave music, Pickford. Pickford’s music is awful.”

Some of Pickford’s favourite songs can be found scattered across his social media accounts and include tracks from Bastille to John Legend, but also “Not Nineteen Forever” by The Courteeners, “Tea And Toast” by Lucy Spraggan, “All Of The Lights” by Kanye West, “Castle On The Hill” by Ed Sheeran and more.

In addition, the football anthem “Three Lions” is considered the favourite to top the British charts as England has reached the final of the 2024 European Championship.

Bookmaker William Hill expects three songs to compete for the top spot in July: “Three Lions” by David Baddiel, Frank Skinner and The Lightning Seeds, the classic “Sweet Caroline” by Neil Diamond and “Vindaloo” by Fat Les.

The news follows England’s glorious victory on July 10, in which Ollie Watkins scored a last-minute goal to take the Three Lions into the final against Spain on Sunday (July 14).

Originally released in 1996, “Three Lions” previously broke records when it shot to number one during the 2018 World Cup.

Meanwhile, the O2 Arena recently announced the biggest broadcast of the UEFA European Championship 2024 finals in London this Sunday (July 14), as well as a free entry prize draw.

Singers Adele and Ed Sheeran were recently spotted cheering on the England national football team during their semi-final match against the Netherlands at the European Championships on July 10th.

Elsewhere, The Killers interrupted their show in London for the last five minutes of the European Championship semi-final and celebrated England’s victory immediately afterwards with a performance of “Mr Brightside”.
