Antony Starr from “The Boys” talks about the strangest scene he ever shot

In the fourth season episode “Dirty Business,” Homelander’s absurd fetish was played out in the strangest way imaginable.

In The youngJoe is a soulmate of Butcher. They feel like brothers because they are always on the same wavelength. This could be attributed to the fact that they have spent so many years together in various wars. They don’t care about patriotism; they just want to see dictators torn to the ground. Butcher and Joe go one step further and kidnap Sameer (Victoria Neuman’s lover). He is the scientist she used to create the “super virus” after he stole a sample from Godolkin University.

Butcher cut off Sameer’s leg and left it at the research farm so Neuman would think the man was dead. Instead, Joe and Butcher abused and tortured Sameer. They want him to replicate the virus so they can kill Antony Starr’s Homelander. This is the trump card Butcher has been waiting for so long. The problem is that Sameer admits that the virus would have to be very concentrated to kill the evil Superman. This would make it volatile and, once it gets airborne, would spread quickly.

Joe correctly concludes that this would result in a massive pandemic, only while people would be safe, all the superheroes would die. This includes their friends like Kimiko, the criminal informants Butcher has, and most importantly, Becca’s son with Homelander, Ryan. Butcher considers Ryan his own, which is why he argued with Joe about killing Ryan. Joe wanted Ryan brought in and turned into a weapon to kill Homelander. If he doesn’t give in, Ryan will have to die too, as he could become the next Homelander.

Joe now has the shameful opportunity to kill both Homelanders with this infectious piece of biology. It leads to Butcher clashing with Joe while he hallucinates Becca. She wants him to forget about the virus and do the right thing. While Joe is only after mass casualties and collateral damage. For Joe, it’s worth the price of freedom, peace and safety.

The 10 best female characters in The Boys, ranked

The Boys has a large ensemble cast full of great characters. Queen Maeve, Becca Butcher, and Grace Mallory are some of the best women on the show.

The young The big twist comes in episode 6, “Dirty Business,” when Joe yells at Becca to shut up. Butcher is confused and wonders how Joe could have recognized a figment of his imagination. The truth is that Joe is also conceited. Joe makes it clear that he manifests himself as part of Butcher’s guilt.Butcher did not save him from a mission in Afghanistan’s Panjshir Valley, but let Joe die out of self-preservation.

Because Joe was the best soldier he ever knew, Butcher embodied his dark side by summoning Joe. Becca is the angel while Joe is the devil on Butcher’s shoulder. It nods strongly to Fight Clubwhere Edward Norton’s narrator unwittingly joined Brad Pitt’s Tyler Durden on a terrorist mission. Tyler was not his friend, but another personality – the alpha male who wanted to burn down society after assembling an army out of the underground fight club.

The young’ Joe is an apex predator, but one who wants world order. Butcher cannot believe this incredible turn of events. He now realizes how damaged his psyche is. The show cross-references all of his meetings with Joe to confirm that he was very much talking to himself. They reference the flashbacks and visual style that director David Fincher cobbled together in his 1999 film, adapting Chuck Palahniuk’s iconic book.

While the first rule of Fight Club was never to talk about it, Joe has a different rule: you can’t take prisoners. Sparing Ryan and others would be a sign of weakness. Joe has Butcher’s mentality and doesn’t want to trust any superhero. He believes they will kill and constantly rise up to take over the world. Still, it’s quite a mystery for Butcher to hear Becca say otherwise.

WWE Champion Cody Rhodes compares Homelander for promo of “The Boys”

WWE Superstar Cody Rhodes surprises fans by channeling his inner Homelander for a new promo video for the fourth season of The Boys.

By the end of the episode, you get the feeling that Joe is winning this mental war. This is going to be bittersweet for Butcher. Joe lets him know that he is the one who took over Butcher’s body and killed Ezekiel in the past. Joe protects Butcher in those moments of fight or flight where Butcher has to become a beast to truly destroy his enemies. Desperate times call for desperate measures, and Joe is just that. The fact that Butcher is blacking out doesn’t bode well for the future, though. If Joe is able to take control outside of these fights, he could manipulate, lie and confuse the guys and get them to play his game.

Hughie trusts Butcher like a father, while Mother’s Milk falls back on Butcher’s leadership from time to time. They may think they are working with Butcher, but they are Joe’s henchmen without knowing it. Evil Butcher could also be a manipulator of the CIA, using boss Grace Mallory. This would give Joe even more resources from his company to wage war, whether it be to help Sameer with the virus or to get assets to attack Homelander’s people directly. Joe clearly doesn’t have the patience and vision of Butcher. He wants immediate results, no matter how much blood is spilled.

This will lead Butcher down a dangerous path, as Joe doesn’t care about friends or family. He even joked that he would sacrifice his own if it meant victory. This is a subtle sign that Butcher’s mind is becoming more and more ruthless. Perhaps he doesn’t want to hurt superheroes like Ryan or even Erin Moriarty’s Starlight. But once Joe is there and one of them is in the way, he will be removed. Joe is an expert in the art of war. He tolerates no obstacles. This instinct could give his alter ego the decisive advantage in this war of attrition.

Joe sees himself as a necessary evil. He may not be the person to follow the rules and be polite. He will fight his way through. Butcher has done these things before, but not to the extreme as Joe claims. Butcher must figure out how to calm the storm that is Joe, or if it is best to let him take the reins to bring down Homelander. Fans have not seen what shape Butcher’s body takes when Joe takes control, either in The young Season 4. Finally, another bombshell is announced that will drop when viewers find out what kind of monster Butcher becomes when Joe is at the wheel.

The new episodes of the fourth season of The Boys stream on Thursdays on Prime Video.
