Vote Run Lead Action announces “Victory Series”

NEW YORK, NY, July 12, 2024 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) – Voting run Key Actionthe nonprofit organization that calls for a truly reflective democracy in which women and gender diverse people hold at least 51% of the seats in the U.S. Congress, announces a new series of virtual workshops titled: VRLA Winning Streaks: Winning Strategies in 2024. This four-part training series is an opportunity for women and gender diverse candidates, as well as campaign staff, leaders, partner organizations and community members to connect and work toward a more inclusive and reflective democracy. The webinars will take place 17 July, 1 August, 18 September And October 3 for women and gender-diverse individuals who want to run for office or help someone else campaign. The one- to one-and-a-half-hour sessions teach valuable tools, tactics, and strategies. Workshops can be attended individually or as a sequence. Vote Run Lead Action Victory Series workshops are free to attend if you pre-register at voterrunleadaction.org/get-involved.

“Vote Run Lead Action and its sister organization Vote Run Lead have over ten years of bipartisan experience in training thousands of women to run successfully,” said Erin Vilardi, CEO and Founder of Vote Run Lead Action. “Our alumni consistently win their primaries and elections at a higher level than those without our training. We are especially proud of our alumni’s 76% win rate in state legislatures this year and the continued high win rates for women of color. Our work to help more women get elected to office is critical. Today, there are only a handful of states (Nevada and Colorado) that have achieved parity or a majority of women in elected office. We still have a long way to go. Offering workshops like the VRLA Victory Series is just one way we can help more women and gender diverse individuals get the offices they deserve. We hope that by offering these workshops, we will continue to see more women interested in running for office and help female candidates win.”

Vote Run Lead Action was created to correct the long-standing underrepresentation of women in state legislatures and demand equal rights for gender diverse citizens in politics. Vote Run Lead Action is committed to electing feminist, anti-racist, pro-democracy women and gender diverse individuals and achieving 51% representation in our legislatures. Training candidates and campaign staff is one of the most powerful ways to achieve this goal.
