Channing Tatum said Taylor Swift made delicious homemade Pop-Tarts

Sure, Taylor Swift conquered the world last year on her big Eras Tour and is arguably the biggest pop star in the universe. But when she’s not rocking tens of thousands of people in stadiums or flying around the world to hang out with boyfriend Travis Kelce, she’s quietly whipping up delicious snacks for her friends, according to her boyfriend Channing Tatum.

“I was a fan of the music because I had always heard it, but I didn’t know it was such an unstoppable force,” Tatum told Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show on Thursday night (July 11) after the host shared a photo of the actor with Gayle King at an Eras tour show at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles in August 2023. Tatum, 44, came to the performance ready to play, wearing a glitter heart around his left eye and a homemade “It’s Me, Hi I’m the Daddy It’s Me” shirt made by his daughter Everly.

“I mean, I know her a little bit personally and she’s really kind of normal and sweet,” Tatum added before dropping a pastry bomb. “And she makes you like dinner and puts it on your plate with no problem. Like homemade Pop-Tarts. Like warm, warm Pop-Tarts. I’m like, ‘Did you just make those? How warm are they?'”

Overwhelmed by the performance on the Eras Tour – where Tatum said he was very careful to only do “hand dancing” and to keep it youth-friendly in front of his daughter by removing any Magic Mike– like below-the-belt twists – the actor said he also considers Swift an elite athlete. “And then you see her on stage, for a three-hour-plus show… I challenge any triathlete who is a champion to do what she does on stage. After that, I was a fan’s fan,” he said.

Tatum – who is currently starring in the new NASA film Fly me to the moon – also gushed about his engagement to actress/director Zoe Kravitz. “I’m so happy, I don’t even know how to put it into words,” Tatum said. “She’s so special and yeah, I don’t know, waking up every day and creating something with somebody. That’s really, really good.” When Fallon chimed in on the love affair by praising Kravitz’s cool factor, Tatum tried to keep his cool himself before admitting that his lady love is actually, OK, fine, “annoyingly cool… that’s a problem.”

He said the two met on the set of their psychological thriller directorial debut, which was originally P—y Islandnow called Flash twicewhich is set to be released on August 23. Tatum – who has a ripped body for a reason – laughed with Fallon about his soon-to-be, insanely muscular father-in-law, Lenny Kravitz, 60. The two stared in awe at a picture of the rocker showing off his washboard abs in a shirtless Instagram post, and Tatum said, “I don’t even understand how you do it? He’s not from this planet.”

And yes, the actor has seen Kravitz working out, and he and Fallon laughed about the most “iconic” thing Tatum said he’s seen “in decades”: the viral video of Lenny ironing on an incline bench in leather pants, boots, sunglasses and a mesh shirt. “I thought it was AI at first!” Tatum said. “And I was like, ‘Oh no, it’s not AI, it’s just Lenny Kravitz.'”
