HUDSON, NH — After a year off, the historic Hudson Speedway is once again welcoming speed-hungry drivers.

The Granite State Pro Stock Series will be held at the race track on Sunday. The fourth race of the 2024 GSPSS series will take place on the elevated oval.

The series had an exciting event last Friday at Claremont Motorsports Park in Walpole, NH.

Ben Bosowski, owner of Hudson Speedway, is excited to welcome racing fans. As a former racer, Bosowski has made several improvements to the speedway.

Hudson Speedway has hosted a dozen GSPSS races since 2012, and no driver has been able to dominate, with ten drivers subsequently lifting the trophy.

One driver in particular will be motivated to perform at his best on Sunday. Experienced Joey Polewarczyk, a Hudson resident, learned to drive at his hometown race track. The 2020 GSPSS champion is one of two two-time series winners at the quarter-mile track.

Polewarczyk won at his home track in 2019 and 2021. A third checkered flag in Hudson is actually possible.

Polewarczyk will face a lot of competition, with drivers sure to be in the running including Cory Casagrande, Ryan Green, Evan Beaulieu, Casey Call, Andy Shaw and Gary Smith from Connecticut.

Casagrande set a qualifying time that stood for years at Hudson Speedway.

Call has been successful at Hudson, finishing second and third in his last two GSPSS starts. Beaulieu is looking forward to his first start at Hudson.

Hudson Speedway welcomes back the Granite State Pro Stock Series for a 100-lap showdown on Sunday evening. Accompanying the GSPSS will be the New England Dwarf Car Series with two 20-lap races. Hudson’s Super Streets, Ridge Runners and Pure Stocks round out the program.

Hudson Speedway was built in 1946 as part of the post-war short track boom in New England. Originally opened as a dirt track, the track was paved in 1953.

Kickoff is at 5:15 p.m., with the main gate opening at 3:30 p.m. for early arrivals. Adult admission is $20. Senior/military tickets are $15 and children ages 6-12 are $5. A Hudson four-pack is $40.

If you can’t attend, you can watch streaming coverage of the races that evening on RaceDayTV.com.
