HOUSTON – Authorities are currently investigating what led to the death of a man in an impound parking lot in north Houston on Friday night.

It happened around 12:30 a.m. in the 5900 block of North Fwy, where police found a man dead from a single gunshot wound. Houston Police Lt. Crowson says the area is a tow truck lot and they believe the victim is an employee who may have gotten into an argument with a customer after they towed their vehicle.

That’s because police found a vehicle matching the description of the shooter and arrested him. Officers from the Fort Worth Police Department assisted at the scene as part of the hundreds of officers from across the state assisting local law enforcement as recovery efforts continue in the wake of Hurricane Beryl.
