Love Island’s Ekin-Su announces career change after CBB drama

The winner of “Love Island”, Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu, has announced that she is working on her memoirs. The book will also address her relationship with Davide Sanclimenti.

In her tell-all book, Ekin-Su talks about trauma and bullying in her childhood and looks back on her experiences taking part in reality shows such as Love Island, The Traitors US and Celebrity Big Brother.

“I’m coming out with a book soon that’s just about me and the people I’ve met in life,” she told The Sun.

Ekin-Su promises that her memoir will help her fans understand her better. The topics range from “childhood trauma to extreme bullying to friends who constantly broke my heart and why I felt abandoned. Why I always stayed closer to older people.”

“So it’s everything, my experience with Davide, there’s a lot in there,” she added. “I’m tired of hiding. I’m tired of lying and protecting other people, that’s my truth.”

Ekin-Su said the writing was “like therapy.” It includes advice for others going through similar ordeals and an “emotional” letter Ekin-Su wrote to herself as a 10-year-old.

“I want people to know me for who I am, not because of my work or the wrong guys I’ve dated,” she said, adding that she wants to be liked for her true personality.

“I don’t think many people have given me the chance to show the real me. I mean, why would anyone really know me when they only know the girl from the produced reality shows. And it doesn’t help that I’m still learning who the hell I am.”

Love Island airs on ITV2 and streams on ITVX.
