Haigakura adds 4 additional voice actors

Four new actors have been announced for Frontier Works’ upcoming film. Haigakura TV anime adaptation. The series will premiere in Japan sometime in autumn 2024.

The new cast includes:

  • • Rie Kugimiya as Kaká
  • • Tomoyo Sato as Ryu
  • • Ayumu Murase as Heikan
  • • Tomoyo Sato as Horyusei

They join a Main voice cast with the following stars:

  • • Takeo Ootsuka as Ichiyou
  • • Tomoe Ishikawa as Tenkou
  • • Lynn as Hakushurin
  • • Hiro Shimono as Ransaiwa
  • • Satoshi Hino as Sonto

Yamamoto (The reason why Raeliana ended up in the Duke’s villa) is directing the anime, with Yuu Murai (The reason why Raeliana ended up in the Duke’s villa Co-screenwriter) as series screenwriter, Masaki Sato (Recording of Ragnarok) as character designer and Yuhki Kurihara (Blue Orchestra Co-composer) as a music composer. Typhoon Graphics is responsible for the animation production of the series.

The anime is based on the manga by Shinobu Takayamawhich was first serialized in Ichijinsha’s Comic Zero Sum WARD magazine from January 16, 2008 to May 16, 2015. The manga was then moved to Zero-Sum Online on September 18, 2015. 16 tankobon volumes have been published as of August 2023.

Haigakura is set in a secluded realm called Senkai, where both gods and mortals live. With the realm on the brink of collapse, a young poet warrior named Ichiyo sets out to capture the gods who have fled throughout the realm using a technique called Kessai. Along with his subordinate god Tenko, Ichiyo sets out to find the four evil gods who hold the key to the empire’s collapse.
