Prime Video orders Muhammad Ali series “The Greatest”

Prime Video has given the green light for The biggesta series about the life of the great Muhammad Ali. The company announced Thursday that the show has been given a series order and will be produced by Amazon MGM Studios, Outlier Society, Roc Nation, Blue Monday Productions, Authentic Studios, Polygram Entertainment and Grace: A Storytelling Company.

Ben Watkins will serve as showrunner and executive producer of the show, which is the first of the first authorized series about the life of Ali. Jaalen Best (All American: Homecoming) will play Ali in the show, which premieres on Prime Video.

The show is described as follows:

The biggest explores in depth the unparalleled life of Muhammad Ali. The astonishing victories and defeats that made Ali a legend both in and out of the ring have been well documented, and while these groundbreaking events in The biggestthe heartbeat of history is driven by all the moments that took place outside the spotlight.
