Heatwave remains on the way, the probability of nighttime storms increases – Chris

Friday will be a little warmer than the last few days with highs in the 30s, starting at just under 32, and there will also be more sunshine. Humidity will also increase, which means the unpleasantness will also increase. There is a chance of thunderstorms overnight Friday into Saturday and into the early hours of the morning.

By Saturday, highs should reach 32 degrees, with dew points at 21 degrees. It will feel like thick tropical humidity and southern summer heat. Heat index readings will be between 35 and 37 degrees. By Sunday, highs will climb even deeper into the 32s, and heat index readings could exceed 38 degrees in parts of the state. If this continues, there is a chance of isolated storms Saturday night and again Sunday night. When… and I mean when… the storms arrive, some of them could be strong to severe, with heavy rain and high winds.

The heat will continue on Monday, with highs around 32 degrees, but an approaching cold front could push highs above 25 degrees by midweek.

Enjoy the evening!
