Love Island hits ‘unprecedented’ ratings peak after Ariana Madix becomes host and is now the most streamed reality show

LOVE Island USA has become the most streamed reality show after Ariana Madix took over as host.

Since the premiere of the sixth season, the show has seen a dramatic increase in ratings; viewership has doubled.

The American version of the reality dating show premiered on June 11 and, according to Deadline, attracted viewership like never before.

Nielsen figures show that Love Island USA was the most-watched reality series on U.S. streaming platforms from June 24 to 30.

During that time, the show was viewed 434 million times, ranking seventh among streaming originals that week.

Nielsen streaming data is reported with a delay, so streaming data for July is not yet available.

Love Island USA airs a new episode every day except Wednesdays until July 21st.

NBCUniversal reported that streaming totals for Love Island USA season six doubled compared to previous seasons.

In the fourth season, the show moved to Peacock and received a two-season order from the platform after leaving CBS.

The show did relatively well on CBS, but could not compare to the success of its British counterpart.

Ariana, 39, took over as host of Love Island USA in the sixth season, replacing Sarah Hyland.

Iain Stirling, the narrator of the British version of the show, also appears on Love Island USA.

Pump it up

Recently, Love Island USA fans were excited after Ariana’s Vanderpump Rules co-star Katie Maloney hinted at a possible appearance on the show.

She shared a photo of her legs in the airport, revealing that she was on her way to an exciting place.

In the photo, which appeared in her Instagram story, she can be seen standing in front of a small table with one leg crossed over the other.

The Bravo star wore pink and red Adidas and had a glass of red wine and a glass of water in front of her.

Another Instagram story from the star showed her sitting in a first-class cabin with a large screen in front of her.

The screen said “FIJI” and showed a beautiful beach scene.

“LFG,” Katie, who co-founded Something About Her with Ariana, captioned the snap, which means “let’s get the fuck going.”

She didn’t explain why she went there, but fans speculated that she was reuniting with Ariana for an appearance on Love Island.

It was later announced that Katie appeared in the aftershow Aftersun.

She and Katie are joined by Cely Vazquez, Callum Hole and Ariana.

NO SHAME

Although Ariana is loved by fans as the host of Love Island USA, she has also faced some negative reactions.

A critical social media commentator body-shamed the Bravo star after she shared one of her presenter looks.

Ariana, who appeared in the slow-motion video wearing a see-through black thong bodysuit and strappy high heels, was quick to hit back.

“She needs to work on her legs…” commented the critic.

“I work on my sexy ass legs almost every day,” Ariana joked.

“I would break your neck with my thighs, but I would never let you get close enough to touch me.”
