Jonathan Smith has added another player from his state to his 2025 recruiting class.

Orchard Lake St. Mary’s athlete Bryson Williams announced on social media Thursday that he has committed to play for Michigan State.

“Let’s work,” Williams posted on his Instagram account.

Williams is 6’2″, weighs 200 pounds and was recruited by Yale, Pittsburgh, Kansas and Harvard, according to 24/7 Sports.

With the commitment of Williams, seven of the 15 members of Smith’s 2025 class are from Michigan, and Williams is also the third player from Orchard Lake St. Mary’s to join the class. Linebacker Charles White committed to play for the Spartans in April and tight end Jayden Savoury pledged to play for Smith in June.

According to the 24/7 overall rankings, Williams is the 17th-ranked player in Michigan and the 65th-ranked athlete in the nation.

Smith and the Spartans will soon be back on the field, preparing for the season opener on Aug. 30 against Florida Atlantic as MSU looks to put one of the worst seasons in recent program history behind it.
