New “The Penguin” poster gives a taste of Colin Farrell’s Dark Batman spin-off series – News about comic book adaptations and superhero films

A new poster for The Penguin was published.

“The Penguin” is the upcoming series starring Colin Farrell that serves as a spin-off to “The Batman” (2022). The series will premiere on HBO and Max next September.

Max has released a new poster for The Penguin, featuring Farrell’s Osward “Oz” Cobblepot standing in the rain outside Gotham’s Iceberg Lounge. Check out the poster below:

The Penguin is coming to San Diego Comic-Con next July. In addition to a panel in Hall H with the cast and executive producers of the series, a new trailer for The Penguin will also be unveiled.

“We are incredibly excited to reach out to San Diego’s large and passionate fan base this year by introducing them to our new series The Penguin,” said Pia Barlow of HBO and Max. “Our in-world activations will give fans the opportunity to immerse themselves in the underworld of Oz Cobbs’ Gotham and pick up where we left off in Matt Reeves’ The Batman as we seek to build anticipation for the series’ premiere in September.”

Additionally, San Diego’s Bloom Nightclub will be transformed into Gotham’s Iceberg Lounge on July 26 and 27. The immersive experience will be packed with special effects, exclusive giveaways and more. Find more details here.

Who else stars in “The Penguin” with Colin Farrell?

In addition to Farrell, The Penguin stars Cristin Milioti, Rhenzy Feliz, Michael Kelly, Clancy Brown, Shohreh Aghdashloo, Deirdre O’Connell, James Madio, Scott Cohen, Michael Zegen, Theo Rossi, Carmen Ejogo, Mark Strong and more.

The series was created by Lauren LeFranc, with Craig Zobel directing the first three episodes of the eight-part series. Set after the events of The Batman, The Penguin follows Oswald’s attempt to take control of Gotham City’s criminal underworld.

The Penguin will premiere on HBO and Max on September 19, 2024.
