The friendship between NFL tight ends George Kittle and Travis Kelce has apparently managed to bridge the gap between rivals San Francisco 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs.

San Francisco 49ers star George Kittle has reflected on a cheeky request he made to fellow tight end Travis Kelce: He asked him if he could use Taylor Swift’s bathroom during a wedding.

The NFL duo may be rivals on the field, but they have long been on good terms with each other beyond football. They have been photographed socializing in the past, most recently meeting in Nashville, where they enjoyed each other’s company at a bar. They have also been the masterminds behind Tight End University for the past three years.

The 30-year-old recently showed how close he is to Kelce at the wedding of his Niners colleague Christian McAffrey and his partner Olivia Culpo in Rhode Island. Kittle, who appeared on the Rich Eisen Show, revealed that he made a somewhat outrageous request after learning that his friend’s girlfriend owned the house next door to his apartment.

When asked if he ever asked for tickets to Kelce’s “Eras Tour,” the tight end changed the subject and made an unexpected confession. He admitted, “So we’re in Rhode Island for the wedding. Right next to where we stayed was Taylor Swift’s house.”

“Like her house in Rhode Island. And I texted Travis and said, ‘Hey, I have to use the bathroom, do you mind?’ Did Taylor leave a key somewhere? He said you can try to get in, but I think security will get you out. I was like, yeah, okay, I’m not going to try that.'”

During the wide-ranging conversation, Kittle also emphasized how much his friendship with his NFL colleague means to him, continuing, “I’m a huge fan of Travis Kelce and the fact that I’ve been able to be friends with him, be his colleague, run tight end (college) with him and just get to know him is awesome.”
