Verizon Frontline provides critical support following ransomware attack in Michigan | Press release

TRAVERSE CITY, Michigan. – The Verizon Frontline Crisis Response Team was recently deployed to support local government agencies in Grand Traverse County, Michigan, to provide temporary connectivity following a ransomware attack.

At the request of local authorities, the team deployed over 80 Verizon Frontline communications solutions to help county authorities resume operations at numerous locations.

“We appreciate having a mission-critical partner like Verizon Frontline to help us deploy a temporary network to restore public safety and other critical government functions during a time of crisis,” said Gregg Bird, disaster response coordinator for Grand Traverse County.

The Verizon Frontline Crisis Response Team provides government agencies and first responders with 24/7, on-call emergency response during crisis situations at no cost to the agencies being supported. Verizon Frontline Crisis Response Team members deploy mobile cell sites, Wi-Fi hotspots, charging stations, and other Verizon Frontline devices and solutions that enable communications and/or enhance network performance.
