Taylor Swift keeps up with the Beatles with her new album

Taylor Swift is back at number 1 on the Billboard 200 this week. Her new album The “Tortured Poets” sectionremains at the top of the list of the country’s most consumed albums and, as in the past few years, another ascension to the throne helps the singer-songwriter make history.

The “Tortured Poets” section has now spent 11 weeks at the top of the Billboard 200. It is the superstar’s third album to spend at least 11 frames atop the chart, an extremely rare feat for any U.S. music act.

Swift’s first album to top the Billboard 200 11 times was FearlessHer second studio album helped transform her from an emerging talent into a recognized hitmaker and one of the most exciting new voices in the music industry.

The Grammy winner repeated this success years later with 1989This project took her from the country sound that made her a household name to a pop force. It remains Swift’s longest-charting song on the Billboard 200.

Accordingly BillboardSwift is only the third name to spend 11 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with three different albums, joining Whitney Houston and the Beatles, who achieved this feat in very different ways.

The Beatles were the first band to have three 11-week appearances. In fact, they have four titles in their discography that have spent at least that long at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, with some of them staying much longer. This group of blockbuster projects includes Meet the Beatles! And Abbey Road (11 weeks), the The night of a hard day Soundtrack (14) and Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band (15).

Whitney Houston joined the Beatles decades after their big breakthrough. The singer’s eponymous album spent 14 weeks at number one in 1986. The following year, she added Whitney dominated for 11 rounds. The Bodyguard The soundtrack remained at number 1 an incredible 20 times in the early 90s.

The “Tortured Poets” section appears to be heading for a twelfth week at No. 1 in a few days. If it can hold on, it will be Swift’s longest stay at the top yet. How long it will reign after that is unclear, but the best-selling and influential streamer could continue to extend her historic record in the coming months.
