Top 10 Takeover Dinner Series at Cuisine: How to get tickets

Next up in the Detroit Free Press’ Top 10 Restaurants at Metro Detroit Chevy Dealers series is Cuisine, the French-inspired restaurant in New Center.

Cuisine is the Detroit Free Press/Metro Detroit Chevy Dealers’ 2024 Restaurant of the Year. Its owner and executive chef Paul Grosz also received the Sylvia Rector Lifetime Achievement Award for Hospitality.

On July 30, Grosz will present a four-course menu with his long-standing passion for French cuisine at our ninth Top 10 Takeover.

Cuisine opened in 2001 in Detroit’s New Center neighborhood, across from the Fisher Building. The following year, Cuisine was named Restaurant of the Year for 2002 and is the longest-running restaurant in the program’s 24-year history.

“With Cuisine, Grosz has created a culture of fine dining that has its roots in French cooking,” wrote Free Press restaurant critic Lyndsay C. Green. “Since opening in 2001, the restaurant has become a special destination for locals from across the region. Located across the street from the Albert Kahn-designed Fisher Building, home of the Fisher Theater and Broadway in Detroit, it is a sophisticated spot for showgoers who want to fill their bellies before a long, exciting musical or compare interpretations of an exciting play.”

Seating for the Cuisine Top 10 Takeover is at 5:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. at 670 Lothrop St. in Detroit. Tickets are $88 per person and include tax, gratuity and a Forgotten Harvest donation.
