Chris Jericho explains why his age as an active wrestler doesn’t worry him – PWMania

Top AEW star and FTW Champion “The Learning Tree” Chris Jericho recently spoke to the Toronto Sun about a number of topics, including why he has no plans to slow down anytime soon and why his age is not an issue for him.

Jericho said: “I just saw the Rolling Stones, four times on this tour, and Mick (Jagger) is 80, and I don’t think you shouldn’t do that at 80.” “I think you should do that at 80. If everyone had the same attitude and mindset as Mick Jagger, it would be a lot better for your own life. I’ve never heard anyone say at 53 that I shouldn’t do that. For me, it’s like, ‘Why shouldn’t I be able to do that?’ It’s just what I do. I’ve done it when I was 43, 33 and 23, and for me, I live in the moment and live in the now, and I don’t worry about any numbers except the numbers on my paycheck. (laughs)”

“All that matters is the money and the miles, they say in the business. If I ever feel like I can’t do this or that I’m hurting myself, then it’s time to reevaluate things, but right now I’m having a great time in AEW and enjoying all the success we’re having as a company and working with the younger guys and giving them the experience that I have and still doing great work and having a lot of fun and that’s the most important thing to me.”
