Celtic is an open club for everyone. Intolerance has no place in paradise

It’s a great move by the Foundation and the Club because we like to call ourselves “a club that is open to all” and rightly so. It’s in our DNA to help those in the world who are shunned because of the color of their skin, their beliefs, their religion or their sexuality.

In this case, we are showing our support for the LGBT community, which is being unfairly targeted by a weak-minded section of society. Sadly and regrettably, only a very small percentage of these weak-minded people are among our supporters.

One only had to scroll through the replies to X on the Celtic FC Foundation’s post about their attendance at the event to see these sad, narrow-minded individuals claiming to be fans of our football club. It is disgraceful to know that some of our Celtic fans feel this way.

Hating someone because of their sexuality or gender is nothing but sheer bigotry.

Our club has been fighting against this since its founding. We are all human beings, regardless of our skin color, religion or sexual orientation.

Our club prides itself on being open to everyone except for those sad individuals who discriminate against the most persecuted in society. This attitude should have no place in our football club and hopefully there will be more acceptance and tolerance in the future.
