Chris Jericho will compete at CMLL’s 91st anniversary show

Chris Jericho is immensely proud of his work with AEW and is open about it. Known for his love of international competition, his surprise appearance at CMLL Viernes Espectacular was no surprise. Jericho has now confirmed the date of his next fight in CMLL, further proving his dedication to wrestling on the international stage.

In case you forgot, Chris Jericho made a surprise appearance at CMLL’s June 28th event, where he attacked Mistico and challenged him to a match. This was Jericho’s first appearance at Arena Mexico since 1995, which added to the excitement of the event.

On the July 10 edition of CMLL Informa, Chris Jericho sent a message to Mistico, confirming their match at CMLL’s 91st Anniversary show on Friday, September 13. Jericho stated that he had to prove that he was better than Mistico, stating that Mistico was not on his level.

Chris Jericho later described it as one of the greatest matches in Mexican history. It should be noted that this will be Jericho’s first match at Arena Mexico since 1995.
