Gracie Abrams shares “Us” with Taylor Swift: Stream now

Gracie Abrams is known and loved by Swifties everywhere for her opening appearance on Taylor Swift’s The Epoch Tour.

TayTay returns the favor with the new joint single “Us,” which was released promptly at midnight along with the rest of Abrams’ new album. The secret of us.

Abrams and Swift co-wrote “Us,” the crown jewel of Abrams’ 13-track second studio LP, with musical input from producer, collaborator and mutual friend Aaron Dessner of The National.

“Us” is an anthemic folk number with a sophisticated pop production. And it is unmistakably the work of TayTay.

Abrams and Swift sing: “I know you know/ It felt like something old / It felt like something sacred, like bleeding souls / So it felt like what I know/ You’re twenty-nine years old / So how can you be cold when I open my house?”

Abrams, 24, spent the summer opening for Swift’s The Epoch Toura role she will reprise later this fall on select dates in North America. She will embark on her very own headlining tour of major theaters across the United States beginning September 5 in Portland.

“Taylor is brilliant at synthesizing a whole story,” Dessner continues over his Zoom with billboard. “Us” simply brought “everything” about Gracie’s album “into focus in a beautiful way.”

The secret of us contains the previously released tracks “Risk” and “Close to You”, which debuted at number 49 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, and is the follow-up to Abrams’ debut album Goodbye forever, which was released in February 2023 and peaked at number 52 on the Billboard 200.
