If you’re a Sam’s Club Plus member, you’ll lose one of its best benefits over the summer.
Starting August 19, members will receive free shipping only on orders placed through the Sam’s Club website or app on “qualified orders of $50 or more,” FOX Business reported.
According to the store’s website, Plus members currently receive free shipping on most items online and in the Sam’s Club app. But soon, Sam’s Club will charge a flat shipping fee of $8 for orders under $50.
However, Sam’s Club states that “some categories are excluded and therefore variable shipping charges apply.” Sam’s Club explains the changes in the FAQ section of its website.
“By introducing a minimum basket amount, we are expanding our members’ access to different shopping options,” the company said. “This makes it easier for you to get the products you want, in the way you want, and at the time you want.”
