Love Island drops four islanders in brutal public vote

Love Island Spoilers follow.

Love Island aired a major elimination twist that lets the audience decide whose time in the villa comes to an abrupt end.

In the final moments of tonight’s episode (July 10), Ayo Odukoya received a text message telling the islanders to gather around the fire pit – and we know this hardly spells good news.

Once there, Grace Jackson received another text message informing her that a multiple elimination would be next.

“Islanders, the public has voted for their favorite girl and boy. Those with the fewest votes are at risk of being kicked off the island tonight,” Grace read. “Since Josh and Reuben are the newest islanders, they will not be considered in the vote.”

But before we got there, all the islanders were subsequently shaken by the events at Casa Amor, and Ayo was trying to patch things up with Mimii Ngulube after the movie night.

“Personally, I can’t sit here and tell you that all my feelings are lost… You haven’t changed, you’re still Mimii,” he told her, hinting that the door is still open for them, despite Mimii’s interest in sex bomb Josh Oyinsan.

Later, a blindfolded lip kissing competition, in which Matilda Draper was named best kisser, caused some drama among the couples as Jessy Potts resented Joey Essex for making enthusiastic comments about the other kissers.

Finally, it was time for the most dramatic moment of the evening, when the Islanders learned that not everyone would make it to the next round.

Blade Siddiqi, Hugo Godfroy and Ayo received the fewest votes among the boys, while Jessica Spencer, Emma Milton and Jess White were at risk among the girls.

It was then announced that Blade, Hugo, Emma and Jess would have to leave the villa following the public vote.

Love Island will be broadcast on ITV2 and streamed on ITVX.
