MSNBC’s Chris Hayes says Biden is “increasingly likely to lose re-election” to Trump

MSNBC presenter Chris Hayes warned on Wednesday that President Joe Biden was “increasingly likely to lose re-election” to the former president Donald Trump.

Reaction to Hollywood star George Clooney’s New York Times In an opinion piece calling for Biden’s resignation and replacement as the Democratic presidential candidate, Hayes said:

Joe Biden is a decent man who, as I said, has done nothing wrong. He has not been involved in a scandal, he is just getting older, and that fact makes it increasingly likely, in my view, that he will lose re-election to a Republican candidate who, as I said, is only a few years younger – we will be in the same boat in a few years if we elect him – and who has done a lot wrong, a frightening lot wrong, and who has said he will do even more wrong if he wins.

The MSNBC host protested:

And again, there is no discussion about whether he (Trump) should drop out because that candidate’s party is too afraid to ask him to resign or take action against him. Because any suggestion by a Republican that Donald Trump should resign for the good of the party or the country or face accountability for his numerous crimes and sins is met with furious rhetorical attacks, excommunication, and often death threats.

Hayes joins a growing list of media personalities, Democrats and donors who have warned about Biden’s prospects against Trump since Biden’s disastrous performance last year.

the monthly CNN presidential debate and the publication of several reports about his alleged “cognitive decline.”
