CHESTER — Chester Lions Club member Brian Stewart is getting ready for this year’s Fourth of July car show, sponsored by the Chester Lions Club, with his daughters Briana and Sierra. Stewart said Briana will be driving her friend Brian Spurlock’s 1967 Chevy II to the show. Sierra will be driving her grandfather Lee’s 1967 Chevy II.

The event will be held on July 4th from 11am to 3pm at Chester City Park. All makes, models and years of cars, motorcycles and trucks are welcome. Registration is $10 per entry and will be held from 10am to noon.

Those who wish to pre-register and pay at the event can contact Steve Wilson at (412) 370-7356 or via email at [email protected]. This year, the number of spaces is reduced, officials said, so anyone who wants to attend the car show should come early to secure a spot. The show is free to attend.

There will be 36 awards, including Best of Show, Best GM, Best Ford, Best MOPAR and Best Motorcycle. The first 175 entrants will receive dashboard plaques. Additional awards will be presented to entrants every 15 minutes.

There will be a DJ, a 50/50 drawing and several drawings throughout the afternoon. Winners do not need to be present. Due to space limitations, no trailers are allowed. Food and drinks are available for purchase.

A rain date has been scheduled for July 14 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. For updated information, visit the Chester Lions Club’s Facebook page or its website e-clubhouse.org/sites/chesterwv.
